Population: The municipality of Canosa di Puglia had a popolation of 31.240 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 31.445 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 1% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 10.346 families with an average of 3,04 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 31 and 249 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 218 metres.

Work and workers:There are 448 industrial firms employing 1.228 people that are the 19,34% of the total of the workers. There are 736 service firms employing 1.198 people that are the 18,87% of the total of the workers. There are also 561 firms employing 1.649 people that are the 25,98% of the total of the workers. There are also 86 administrative offices emplying 2.273 workers that are the 35,81% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 6.348 workers, that are the 20,19% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
