Terlizzi

Terlizzi has a population of 27.532 inhabitants (Terlizzesi) and a surface of 68,29 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 403,1 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 190 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Terlizzi had a popolation of 26.433 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 27.532 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 4% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 8.628 families with an average of 3,19 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 100 and 288 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 188 metres.

Work and workers:There are 125 industrial firms employing 610 people that are the 13,45% of the total of the workers. There are 697 service firms employing 1.313 people that are the 28,94% of the total of the workers. There are also 406 firms employing 1.775 people that are the 39,12% of the total of the workers. There are also 38 administrative offices emplying 839 workers that are the 18,49% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 4.537 workers, that are the 16,48% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
