Manfredonia

Manfredonia has a population of 57.704 inhabitants (Manfredoniani o Sipontini) and a surface of 351,97 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 163,9 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 5 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Manfredonia had a popolation of 58.318 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 57.704 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of -1% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 17.786 families with an average of 3,24 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 0 and 604 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 604 metres.

Work and workers:There are 666 industrial firms employing 2.600 people that are the 18,76% of the total of the workers. There are 1.014 service firms employing 1.907 people that are the 13,76% of the total of the workers. There are also 851 firms employing 3.789 people that are the 27,33% of the total of the workers. There are also 227 administrative offices emplying 5.566 workers that are the 40,15% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 13.862 workers, that are the 24,02% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
