Lizzano

Lizzano has a population of 10.195 inhabitants (Lizzanesi) and a surface of 46,32 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 220,1 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 40 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Lizzano had a popolation of 9.926 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 10.195 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 3% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 3.312 families with an average of 3,08 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 0 and 97 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 97 metres.

Work and workers:There are 17 industrial firms employing 99 people that are the 8,66% of the total of the workers. There are 204 service firms employing 292 people that are the 25,55% of the total of the workers. There are also 185 firms employing 425 people that are the 37,18% of the total of the workers. There are also 43 administrative offices emplying 327 workers that are the 28,61% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 1.143 workers, that are the 11,21% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
